Jesse Simonton of On3 posted his “2023 Pressure Check Rankings: Dino Babers, Mario Cristobal are among ACC coaches under the most pressure this fall” on Wednesday night. Simonton stated “Reminder: This is not a hot seat list. It’s a pressure gauge — Low, Medium, High and Extreme.”
Simonton gave Mario Cristobal a pressure gauge of high with Babers who coaches Syracuse the only measure of extreme. Babers is 36–49 in eight seasons at Syracuse. Cristobal has far more leeway entering his second season than Babers. Miami is expected to improve on its 5-7 inaugural season under Cristobal.
